On my last post,i discussed about why we need to determine motor loads and efficiency.So for this post i want to share how to get the motor load value using simple calculation electrical formula.

Before we go further,i want to explain about Power.What is meaning of Power?Of course this term is significant with our discussion topic.Power is rated of energy in electrical circuit.

The causes of electrical motor insulation failures

Basically electrical motor have a phase to phase winding coil around armature to created a magnetic field.To avoid shortage between phase to phase winding,the insulation systems needed.

Measuaring motor insulation using HI POT tester

When we need to evaluate the motor condition,HI-POT tester or High Potential tester is the common equipment are used.As we know,a multimeter or ohm meter reading only can determine if a motor winding is open or shorted but cannot checked winding insulation condition if shorted with ground or phase.

The main purpose of the Hi Pot tester is to verify the quality and integrity of the electric motor insulation materials used on the armature or stator and also safe to using it without any defect.
