How It Works

  1. Enter the Density of the fluid in kg/m³.
  2. Enter the Flow Velocity in m/s.
  3. Enter the Characteristic Length (e.g., pipe diameter) in meters.
  4. Enter the Dynamic Viscosity in Pa·s (e.g., water is about 0.001 Pa·s at room temperature).
  5. Click “Calculate.”
    • The script computes the Reynolds number.
    • It also displays whether the flow is Laminar (Re < 2300), Transitional (2300 ≤ Re ≤ 4000), or Turbulent (Re > 4000).
