Circuit protection is a mandatory items that we MUST consider carefully for Electrical Installation project.I will take a fully attention during sizing and follow standard requirement for circuit breaker.

Accessories for MCCB

As we known,Molded Case Circuit Breaker main function is protection device from overload current and short circuit.It also have a several attachment device for additional protection that we can combine with MCCB.

Common accessories used for MCCB such as phase insulation barrier,Shunt trip,Under voltage trip device,rotary handle and change over system.It can provide more protection function that we want add to the application.

Circuit breaker is the one of important protection device when installing of electrical induction motor.This time i want shared some information about the major parameter that we need consider when applying Molded case circuit breaker(MCCB) for electric motor.

Vacuum circuit breaker

As we know vacuum mean the the pressure is maintained below atmospheric pressure( unit : mm Hg ).So the manufacture made a research and development to design the vacuum circuit breaker based on current cannot jump in vacuum condition.

Vacuum Circuit Breaker used the vacuum pressured to extinguish the current arc when it switching.Normally this type of circuit breaker used for medium voltage ( 1 – 35 kV ) power supply.The ampere rating for vacuum circuit breaker is until 3000 ampere.
