Electrical Earthing

Grounding or Earthing system is a connection system between metal and ground from the installation of electrical wiring. It is for provide easy access to a low impedance, or resistance to earthing protection system to operate effectively to ensure the safety of people or users from shock hazards electricity in the event of leakage current to earth.

We should prepared the good design for electrical earthing for electrical installation system. It must follow regulation and standard from IEE or Local authority for electrical. In general, the earthing system for electrical installation. read more

Insulation Resistance Tester

Why we need to perform insulation resistance tester? This test is strongly recommended to prevent electrical shock for equipment, electric motor or electric cable. We also can determine any abnormal condition or leakage before installation and can rectify the problem.

Insulation resistance tester is the one of  important equipment/meter for determining the resistance of the insulation in motor winding, transformers winding or electrical cable in good condition or not.

This tool facilitates off to make an informed decision about the condition of equipments can be used again, whether or not based on the value of reading difficulties.According to standard IEEE 43: IR test minimum value of the electric motor is a 1 Mega Ohm ( 1 MΩ ) read more

Description Of The Multimeter

What is a multimeter?

Before we know how to use a multimeter,we must understand a safety information about multimeter.

To avoid possible electric shock or personal injury,PLEASE follow these guideline

  • Do not use the meter  or test lead if they appear damage or not operating properly.
  • Always use proper terminal, switch position and range for measurements.
  • Verify the meter`s operation by measuring a known voltage.
  • Do not apply more than the rated voltage, between terminals or any terminal and earth ground.
  • Use caution with voltage above 30 VAC rms,42 VAC peak or 60 VDC.It pose a shock hazard.
  • Disconnect circuit power supply and discharge all high-voltage capacitor before testing RESISTANCE,CONTINUITY,DIODE OR CAPACITANCE.
  • Do not use the meter around explosive gas and vapor
  • When using test lead, keep your finger behind the finger guard.
  • Avoid working alone
  • Use only the replacement fuse specified.
  • Check the test lead  for continuity before use.Do not use if the reading are high or noisy. read more
