Light Bulb

This device is very useful in our life.Without it,we stay in the dark…so be thanks to Thomas Alva Edison & Joseph Swan because their effort and development of a Light Bulb.We can found a bulbs any area likes home,office,factory,shopping complex and many more places.

The basic function of light bulb is electric power supply will make the filament in a enclosed glass shell turn to heater concept and it become hot and reaction with that is either filled or evacuated with an inert gas.Then the bulb will light on.

Now the people more interested about ENERGY SAVING BULBS.It can reduce our electricity cost and have a long life span from 1 year until 3 years.Now in market have a many choice of ENERGY SAVING BULBS.This type can light same brightness like others bulb in low WATT consumption.

What is a light bulb?


Example : It can supply the brightness same like 40 watt bulb only in 10 watt.We can save 30 watt for 1 bulb.Imagine if we use 30 bulbs in our home.How many WATT we can save??I hope u all can thinks it again :D I strongly suggest to change and use the ENERGY SAVER BULB TYPE.It can save our expenditure and save our planet from from pollution because it can generate the E-WASTE.

Type of a light bulbs

Now they are may types and design of light bulb depend of our use.In market now,it have several types of light bulb :-

1) Incandescent

– This type is a standard light bulb that most familiar using for household in world wide.It use tungsten and inert gas in a vacuum glass shell.The weakness for this type is it use more electricity usage is high.

2) Halogen

– This type is a variation from incandescent.It have a same concept but the different is it use the Halogen gas.The advantage is it more efficient and having longer life time from incandescent type.The weakness is it more expensive and it operate in high temperature can be cause the fire.

For handle Halogen type,please be careful.Don`t  touch the glass part of the bulb with your bare hand because the oil from our finger can weaken the glass and shorted the bulb life.Use the glove or clean cloth to avoid this problem.

3) Fluorescent

– This type of bulb use the current flow in the tube filled with argon gas and mercury.It produce the ultra voilet radiation and reaction with phosphorus coating around the tube.It create the Emit Light.The life span for this type around 10,000 until 30,000 hours.It very familiar use in household because it efficient,cool white color and and produces very low heat.

The disadvantage of this type is it need a “ballast” to provide the accurate amount of voltage.Now it have two type of ballast.The electronic and magnetic type.This bulb also need the stater to charge the electron into the tube.It is the combination for this type.

4) Compact Fluorescent Lamps

This type is new technology innovation.The concept is same like fluorescent lamp but it on the smaller shape.It available in screw type and pin type of connection.This type cannot use with a dimmers.The life span for CFL around 10,000 hours.It efficient and produce low heat.

5) LED ( Light Emmiting Diode )

This type now very popular in the world.Many people now change to LED type due to energy saving and green technology.This type is the latest technology.

It can beat all type of bulb from many aspect likes energy saving,electricity low cost,same brightness,very long life span from others type of bulbs in the market.This type now in improvement steps for future application.In other word…LED bulb is the lighting of future.

Since LEDs use only a fraction of the energy of an incandescent light bulb there is a dramatic decrease in power costs. Also, money and energy is saved in maintenance and replacement costs due to the long LED lifespan.
